Hol Alta YVES SAINT LAURENT Runway Show Pret a Porter Fall 1982 YSL High. From the 1982 Musical Note collection comes this documented Yves Saint Laurent set that was used in that years ad campaign (as pictured). It is made from a crepe that looks as new as the day it was made. The print on this set is custom screened with musical notes from top to bottom. The whimsical and girlie design is balanced by the stark white on black design. The skirt is cut to hug the hips and is a simple pencil shape. The top which is part jacket, part top, is also cut to fit and hug the body with shoulders that are slightly padded and sleeves that are fuller through the upper arm and then narrow in at the wrist. A feminine ruffled is used around the collar and the hips are also finished with a ruffled panel of fabric. It is beautiful and with being so well documented, highly collectible. Excellent condition. The jacket is fully lined in a black silk with the sleeves unlined. It closes with buttons at the front. The skirt is partially lined and closes with a zipper and button at the waist. It has hidden pockets on each hip. Light padding at the shoulders. It is very light and more like wearing a dress then a structured suit.
